Anritsu 110 GHz Opto-electronic Network Analysis System (ONA) Solution

The 110 GHz ONA solution comprises a 110 GHz VectorStar VNA, a 110 GHz NIST traceable reference photodetector, and a 110 GHz electro-optical modulator. The complete solution is used to characterize and measure opto-electronic devices and components used extensively to support higher baud rates for data communication. Devices like lasers, VSCELS, TOSA, ROSA , BOSA, and SiPh must be characterized for bandwidth, group delay, return loss, and other key performance parameters. The Anritsu 110 GHz ONA solution is a highly flexible and easy-to-use solution since it's easily upgradable, not only in terms of the number of ports (from 2 to 4) but also in terms of the frequency range where a user can start with a 70 GHz VNA and then later upgrade the system to a 110 GHz or even beyond to 145 and 220 GHz. The 110 GHz VNA has state-of-the-art mmWave modules manufactured by Anritsu and based on a patented technology called NLTL. This technology enables ultra-stable, highly accurate, and precise measurements up to 110 GHz. The system has exceptional calibration and measurement stability. The system also has a NIST traceable reference photodetector covering 1310 nm and 1550 nm wavelengths. The 110 GHz E/O modulator provides excellent system specifications, independent control of built-in (or external) laser, dithering control, and automatic bias control.
