A company needs to be more than the products and services it sells, the technologies it develops, and the disruption it may cause within a market. It must be a valued member of the communities it serves and bring a greater good to its employees, customers, and those who need assistance. As the 2021 holiday season begins, it is time to remember the importance of paying it forward.

Anritsu has a core philosophy to improve society. One way is through supporting emerging technologies such as 5G that can enhance people’s lives. As importantly, Anritsu extends helping hands to directly assist those in need.

It is a belief that Anritsu has followed through its Going Beyond and Giving Back community services initiative. The project focuses on using its test solutions, as well as the time and talent of employees to give back. As the curtain drops on another year filled with challenges, it’s time to reflect, as well as give thanks to everyone who participated.

Going Beyond and Giving Back

Anritsu recently held its sales meeting in the metro-Dallas area. While the days were filled with traditional sales-oriented presentations and team-building, the event culminated with a mini-golf tournament unlike any held previously. Eighteen teams of four golfers each not only competed for the lowest score, they used their engineering expertise and creativity to design the holes using 500 pounds of non-perishable food.

Once the final hole was played, the food was donated to the Network of Community Ministries. The Richardson, TX-based non-profit organization is able to feed 700 families in the Dallas area using the food donated by Anritsu.

Anritsu selected the charity because of its charter to care, coach, and empower neighbors in need as they seek an improved quality of life. Included in the services provided is a Food Pantry and two Mobile Food trucks. The Network recognized existing barriers to onsite food pantry visits are related to several factors, including the stigma of coming to a “food assistance program” and work schedules that do not coincide with Network Pantry hours. To help provide a solution to these barriers, the organization partnered with the Richardson Independent School District (RISD) and the North Texas Food Bank to provide easier access to food for those in need.

Anritsu understands that helping others has no boundaries. To help those in need throughout the United States, Anritsu is implementing a program in which a portion of sales on its demo equipment is donated to a charity of choice determined by the customer making the purchase. It highlights Anritsu’s pledge but also that of other companies within the market who share a commitment to assisting those suffering various hardships.

Organizations who benefitted from the campaign range from global non-profits that help children to local groups that provide aid to animals, and everything in-between. To date, more than $6,000 has be donated to Anritsu customers’ charities as part of the Charity Giving initiative.
