Testing Radomes Helps Reduce Radar Malfunction

Automotive radars are used in a variety of use cases that provide both comfort and safety. For example, adaptive cruise control (ACC) uses radars to maintain distance and speed between vehicles with little to no driver intervention. Radars are also used for collision avoidance as they can be placed around the perimeter of a vehicle to warn drivers of potential blind spot obstacles. Using VNAs to find radome imperfections offers multiple benefits, including reliable and repeatable radome quality assessment with simple S-parameter measurements, small footprint, cost-efficiency and ease of use.
